LADIES GOLF LEAGUE BYLAWS REVISIONS
2012-2013
1. League play will be on the first and third
Wednesday of each month, with prizes paid for by dues funds. The second
Wednesday will be reserved for a variety of different tournaments, ie scrambles, on a pay as you participate system to fund
prizes. The membership meetings will be held in the auditorium on the
second Wednesday of
November, January, March and April at 11 a.m. If required, the President may call for an
additional meeting.
2. Membership dues are $15 per year (June 1 – May 31) payable in advance at the April meeting of the current season. Participation in events and league play will not be allowed prior to payment of dues.
3. There will be a 6 stroke limit per hole
unless otherwise dictated by game being played, ie
when the game is “lowest putts”. Scorecards will show date, name of players and
signature of scorer and attester. Cards
not attested to will be disqualified.
4. Prizes for net scores, birdies and chip-ins
will be awarded either at membership meetings or at the following weeks’ league
play at the social hour in the Club House and will be governed by the Board.
5. Board of Officers (elected positions) are: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Tournament Directors. Chairpersons will be appointed for Handicap and Sunshine by the nominating committee. (if any vacancy occurs during a term, the President will appoint a replacement.)
6. The Board of Directors will appoint a nominating committee at the January meeting every 2 years. They will submit and post a slate at the general meeting in March which will remain posted at the Tiki hut until the election on April. Nominations from the floor will be accepted prior to the voting.
7. Officers’ terms become effective upon election in April. Length of term is for 2 years with no more than 2 consecutive terms being served without a break in service.
8. Standing rules may be proposed for amendment by a two-thirds vote at any Board meeting where a quorum is present. Standing rule changes will then be presented at the
next general meeting for a majority vote of the members who are present. To have your vote counted, you must attend the meeting.

LEAGUE STANDING RULES:
1. Handicaps must be established before members are eligible to win any prizes.
2. Handicaps require 3 games, each with at least one league member to attest the score. Games can be played in tournaments or outside of tournaments.
3. Bylaws, tournament schedules, officers and minutes (after approval) will be posted on the SLCCV website by a board member or member appointed by the President.
4. Membership lists with names, email addresses and phone numbers will be made available to members through either email or printed hard copy.
5. Announcements will be emailed to members when appropriate through email.
6. Winners of league play will be posted on the tiki hut bulletin board ASAP following play.
7. Prizes will be awarded for 1st
place, 2nd place and 3rd place in each flights, the
number of flights being determined by the number of participants in the
tournament.

ball is in the fairway, it can be moved up to 6 inches, no nearer the hole.
Ball
cannot be moved if it is in the rough.

Out-of-Bounds
(1 stroke penalty) - Up to 2 club lengths from out-of-bounds line, but not
into the middle of the fairway.

#2 Hole (1 stroke penalty) - unplayable against boards surrounding water - 2
club
lengths, no nearer the hole.
Ball
in Palmettos (1 stroke penalty_ = Up to 2 club lengths, no nearer the hole.
Lost
Ball - (1 stroke penalty) - if not found in 2 minutes.
Any
water ball in or too close to be played (1 stroke penalty_ = Drop ball 2 club
lengths
from where the ball entered the hazard, no nearer the hole,
or go to drop zone, if marked.
UNPLAYABLE LIE WITH NO PENALTIES
Nearer
or under footbridges between 6 and 7, and also between 7 and 8 - Drop ball up
to
2
club lengths, no nearer the hole.
In
ditches on #3 and #9. Drop ball up to 2
club lengths, no nearer the hole.
Casual
water - ground under repair - ant hills - Drop ball up to 2 club lengths, no
nearer
the hole.
ETIQUETTE
Do not move, talk or stand close
to, or directly behind a player making a stroke.
Do not leave carts or bags in
front of green when putting out. Put on
side of green towards next hole.
Do not drop clubs or flag on
green.
Do not walk or step on another player’s
putting path.
Do not stand in putt line, which
extends across from hole.
Leave putting green as soon as
all players have putted - mark scores at next tee.
Play ready golf.
Damage to property should be
reported to owner. Repair is
responsibility of player causing damage.
No loud talking while player is
preparing to hit.
Player nearest the pin should
monitor it.
